Founded in 2021, Granjas Coffee offers farm-to-cup coffee sourced from small farms all over Latin America. Their mission is to always put the farmers first by guaranteeing fair-trade agreements, but also by shining light on the coffee harvesting process.

As part of Granja’s mission, it was important that they bridge the gap between the product being consumed and the people who helped create it.

This means not just making a great cup of coffee. This means telling the story of the land and the people who dedicate their lives to farming it. So Granjas tells the story of each farm that their beans are harvested from. Through packaging, blog posts and social media spotlights, coffee farmers are finally getting the praise they deserve.

So how do you tell a dynamic visual story that has a uniquely human and cultural foundation and create something unlike anything we’ve seen before?

For generations, Latin cultures have considered the land in which they farm to be sacred. They go to extreme lengths to ensure their ground stay fertile, often holding ceremonies to worship gods and mythological creatures.

When it came to the brand identity, we decided to draw a parallel from the ritualistic tendencies of coffee drinkers, to the superstitions of the native people who harvest the product.

The overall graphic style for the brand draws inspiration from Mayan architecture, primitive ceramics and textile prints.
